Nelson’s specialist team undertakes all flood control and flood relief works due to rising water levels and erosion of existing defences from the sea and rivers.
Drawing on the deep resources of Nelson’s plant and haulage experience we undertake all types of flood defences on a contract basis or as part of a contract package.
Health & Safety
Health and safety is always a high priority and site specific risk assessments are prepared and submitted prior to any works being carried out. As a result our safety record is of an impeccable standard.
We are able to undertake excavation contracts of all sizes, including flood defences and river diversions. We realise that these particular projects require expertise and attention to detail. We supply all earthmoving equipment either on an hourly, daily or weekly basis and we boast some of the best CPCS/CSCS qualified plant operators in the South of England.
Disposal of Material, Recycling & Aggregates
With a range of in-house plant, we are more than equipped to undertake muck shifting contracts ranging from 100m3 to 300,000 m3. We can offer muck away services either on agreed measure or by the load. With our own CPCS/CSCS Certified operators we have the capability to offer clients the most cost-efficient solutions whilst working to tight deadlines and tight budgets.
Construction & Repair
If appropriate, recycled and primary aggregates are supplied back from our transfer station and re-used as sub base material within the works construction and repair. Recycled screened topsoil can also be supplied to the surrounding area, for example a river bank, allowing it to naturally grow back to its original state.
Whether you require initial advice on a potential scheme, budget price or competitive quotation we welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs.
Profits Wood, Chandlers Ford, Hants
This project involved bulk excavation and disposal of 14,000m3 of excavated clay material. This major river diversion had become essential due to gradual movement in the nearby houses caused by eroded banks. The banks were re-battered and stone placed into the river channel to allow the river to once again flow properly. Once completed, screened topsoil was supplied to allow the surrounding area to naturally grow back to its original state.
